My name is Dana Scott and I am a wife, mother, photographer, and most importantly, a follower of Christ. My passion is to serve Him through the gifts and talents he has given me. I strive to take up my cross daily and follow after Him.
My love of photography began at a very young age. I attribute this passion to my father, who carried a Nikon around his neck since my earliest childhood memories. "Capturing the moment" on film was always a big part of our family tradition. I have many vivid memories of my dad putting the strap around my neck and teaching me the different aspects of photography. It was at this young age that I learned how to frame a shot, how to capture the beauty of a face, and how to sneak up on my mother and photograph her in her pajamas and curlers when she wasn't looking :)

Once I began college, I decided to minor in photography at Texas State University. It was then that I received my first Nikon SLR film camera from my dad on my 21st birthday. One year later I married the most amazing man on the planet, and not long after he introduced me to the world of digital with my first Canon. Since then we have welcomed two beautiful little boys into the world who we are madly in love with. My passion for photography has only intensified with their arrival.
We now live in a digital world where the possibilites of "capturing the moment" are endless. I will never stop learning; never stop being driven by new creativity and capabilites. I now find myself teaching my dad all the new facets that digital photography has to offer. Many times I have compared the essence of photography to my relationship with Christ. The closer I'm drawn to Him, the more I am able to see just how far I've come.
